Version 1.1 brings the following changes:

Mar 12, 2025

  • Increase the amout of gold given by a boss.
  • Cleaned code that was left from previous attempts to fix the jitter.
  • Found the root cause of the health bars jittering when being moved manually. A project setting "GUI>Common>Snap Controls to Pixels" was enabled by default. Since the enemy health bars use RichTextLabels, a typically GUI element, meant the nearest pixel was constanly changing thus the jitter.
  • Fixed a division by zero bug. Would cause bug sprites to dissapear when word size was set to minimum.

Mar 11, 2025

  • Add version info to main menu.
  • Difficulty settings menu, fix disabled reset buttons theme causing icon to get bigger and the background panel loosing the corner rounding.
  • Scale bugsplat to the size of the bug.
  • Fix input not being cleared when removing one boss healthbar but not killing it.

Mar 10, 2025

  • Scale bug shadow along with the bug.
  • Fix bug that did not clear typed input on new wave/round.
  • Upgrade to Godot 4.4
  • Fix difficulty menu spacing issue caused by upgrade.
  • Fix some text labels in difficulty menu.
  • Health Bars no longer go off screen.

  • Bugs vary in size based on their word length except for boss bugs. They get the max size.

Feb 1, 2025

  • Fix Boss gold drop not scaling based on difficulty. You should see higher scores now.
  • Remove italics from bug font and improve font rendering.
  • Entire project font changed to Roboto.
  • If there are not any enemies on the board, one is immediately spawned so you don't have to wait for the spawn timer.
  • Added bug splats when a bug is defeated.
  • Added shadows under the bugs.
  • Shadow texture changed to svg for better quality.
  • Healthbars redone to be more legible when stacked.
  • Boss health changed to a heart image.
  • General code cleanup.
